Rise and Shine. Amps on fire, Eddie Van Halen in red, white and black, California sun and an air of freedom: images of a Hard Rock daydream composed during lockdown in October 2020 that fades to dark: one of the greatest guitarists had just hung up his Frankenstrat for good. An idol dies for us. We decided to pay homage to Eddie by composing this song (initially “Van Alien” in its demo version).
The idea of Sam, who composed this song, was not to try to imitate Van Halen, but to soak up the incredible energy of this guitarist for whom we always had a deep admiration, and to transpose it to Furies. Joined on vocals by the flamboyant Alessia Scolletti, lead singer for Era (Ameno!) and ex-Temperance, we are happy to present this Franco-Italian collaboration with Simone Mularoni (Domination Studio/DGM) on mixing and mastering. The track was recorded partly at Labomatic Studios by Igor Moreno, who can also be found at the mixing table in the music video accompanying the single. Directed by Antoine Doyen and filmed on the occasion of the recording of Alessia in Paris, the video reveals behind the scenes images of this collaboration and the euphoria surrounding us at this occasion.
