Today, Finnish progressive metal maniacs, HUMAVOID, have unleashed their furious new album via Noble Demon.
Unafraid to keep experimenting until the songs have reached their full potential, “Lidless” delivers 10 tracks of sophisticated madness, being an album filled with an unpredictable blend of progmetal that effortlessly shifts from chaotic beating to contagious refrains and back!
Just in time for the release of their brand new album, the band from Espoo, Finland, unleashed a brand new lyric video for the track “Fortune For Demise”, streaming now right here:
“Lyrically the song raises a question whether it is truly a fulfilling objective to merely live an easy life, emphasizing entertainment over effort. Musically it is the perfect opener, bringing out some of the craziest and catchiest hooks on the album. By no means an easy listen, but rather holding you in its grip from the beginning until the end!“ HUMAVOID comments.
”Lidless” presents HUMAVOID as its most aggressive to date, but also further reveals the band’s experimental side. The songs – some of which contain high doses of improvised drum arrangements – are linked together by a couple of vocalist/keyboardist Suvimarja Halmetoja’s eerie and beautiful piano improvisations. Additional spontaneity is featured in the guest appearance by the great jazz pianist Iiro Rantala on the song ”Aluminum Rain”.
