“Fear Is a Cruel Master”
and announce Northern American shows

New Jersey psychedelic heavy rockers RUBY THE HATCHET release the official video for the track ‘The Change’, which is taken from the current album “Fear Is a Cruel Master” (October 21, 2022). The multi-cam video was shot live at the band’s record release show at Warehouse on Watts in Philadelphia, PA by Joshua Kost and Azon Miller.

The band is also announcing a string of Northern American tour dates including a full tour in support of ELDER and joined by label mates HOWLING GIANT. Please see below for all confirmed dates.

On further news, Ruby‘s entire performance from the record release show will stream exclusively on Bandcamp alongside a special Q&A with the band on March 27th, 2023. Advance tickets to the Bandcamp-hosted digital event can be secured at this location.

RUBY THE HATCHET comment: “If you’ve seen us out on the road then you’ve seen us at our best”, singer Jillian Taylor states. “We live for the stage and authentic crowd connections. When filming our record release show in Philly for a Bandcamp live stream, we wanted to capture just that: the energy we get from all of you. It was a special night with friends and fans that we are now able to share with anyone who couldn’t make it via our video for ‘The Change’, a song perfectly fit for encapsulating the last 5 years before releasing our latest album. Growth, the pains that go along with it, letting go of what no longer suits you and holding tight to what always will. ‘I never wanted to change, too wild to stay the same…’.

Our upcoming tour with Elder will build on the energy from the last round where we were just getting a handle on playing songs from ‘Fear Is a Cruel Master’ in a non-studio setting. They are friends, and supporting them is a special honor. You simply cannot play before Elder without bringing everything you’ve got, so we will be doing just that.”
