Review by Tony Cannella
Rockstar Frame is a hard rock band From Italy. They have just released their second album “Bullet for Birthday”. These Italians show a propensity for writing good hard rock songs with catchy melodies and razor sharp hooks. They also manage to keep a hard edge to the songs, meaning this is not wimpy music. This is just straight-up, in-your-face, pure energetic hard rock. The adrenaline-fueled opener “I Want More” gets us started and is followed by the aggressive “Ready to Cry (Kick Ur Ass)”. This is a great track and quickly became one of my favorites. “Here I Am” slows the tempo a bit and becomes an effective power ballad. “Goodbye Tonight” is a great mid-tempo number. The band also offers an effective cover of the Red Hot Chili Peppers song “Dark Necessities”. Other highlights include: “Running Away”, “Healing Song” and “Secret”. There is so much to like about Rockstar Frame. They definitely bring the feeling of Guns N’ Roses and early Aerosmith to their sound and that is never a bad thing. “Bullet for Birthday” is as raw and entertaining as it gets.
